Crispy Weeknight Porkchops

I purchased two boneless pork chops on my latest grocery trip. Here is the quick, weeknight recipe for crunchy, boneless chops that I put together!


2 boneless pork chops
1 egg, scrambled
1/2 cup FRENCH’S® Original French Fried Onions
2 tbsp canola oil
1 tbsp butter
1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp sea salt
dash of ground mustard

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix together lemon pepper seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and a dash of ground mustard. This is your pork chop ‘rub’.

Lemon Pepper seasoning can be found in the spies aisle – I used McCormick brand.

Melt butter and brush lightly over both sides of each pork chop.

Sprinkle 1/4 of the rub on one side of each chop and press gently.

Dredge the chops in egg on one side and cover with half of the french fried onions. Press gently, breaking up any larger pieces of onion. 

I always use FRENCH’S® Original French Fried Onions!

Heat a large skillet on medium-high heat and add oil. Heat until oil is shiny and HOT.

Place pork chops on hot skillet and do not move for 3-4 minutes, searing the outer most edge of each chop. Then flip and repeat on the other side.

Transfer the pork chops to an oven proof pan and bake for another 15 minutes or until internal temperature reads 150 degrees F.

Remove from oven and serve with green beans or mixed veggies!
